RV data connectors - low-fi mockups

2026-07-28 · Sandip → Milesh for direction review · source: meeting note "Primary market RV analysis and data inputs"
No RV numbers No deal triage Grayscale low-fi 3 variants, pick one
Shared scenario: an EIB EUR 10yr benchmark is expected to price Wed/Thu. The deal is already selected (triage is out of scope). These screens show the moment the user configures which data sources feed the RV analysis, then runs it. Blurred blocks = outputs deliberately withheld; the demo sells the inputs, not a number.

Variant A - Composer context bar

Cheapest build
Claude-style "+" bar on the analysis composer. Active sources render as chips; the "+" opens a picker with toggles. Closest to the existing Workspace chat UX.

1"+" opens the picker. Toggle sources per analysis; chips show exactly what feeds the run.
2Coverage on every chip answers "where does that come from?" - the demo beat from the RAMIC call.
3Custom API + add-source slot carry the "own your intelligence" message: their data, their model.

Variant B - Data inputs rail

Best for narrating breadth
A persistent rail beside the analysis keeps all sources visible at once - the strongest surface for the "Bloomberg gives you two of these, Asyn gives you eight" narration. Toggling arms an explicit re-run (auto re-run is backlog).

Re-run with 5 inputsinputs changed since last run
1Coverage meter reads as input coverage only - never a score, never an RV number.
2A toggle was just switched off: its evidence card dims and the re-run button arms. Nothing runs by itself.
3Add-source + custom API rows stay visible even when empty - extensibility is the point.

Variant C - RV builder canvas

Most narratable pitch
The building-blocks metaphor made literal: sources wire into the RV analysis node. The grouping makes the Bloomberg contrast explicit on screen. Highest build cost - would ship first as a static "inputs map" view if chosen.

1The Bloomberg bracket is the pitch: the top two blocks are their whole manual process; everything below is what Asyn adds.
2Off sources hang unplugged (dashed wires); the empty slot invites "bring your own" - proprietary docs and APIs.
3Output stays blurred even here: the screen is about what feeds the number, not the number.

Questions for review (Milesh)

  1. Which variant goes forward - or a hybrid (e.g. A's composer chips + B's rail on the analysis page)?
  2. Naming in the UI: "connectors", "data inputs", or "RV building blocks"?
  3. Coverage meter (B): useful, or does it read as false precision?
  4. Default-on sources for the Andy demo - which should be lit when the screen first opens?
  5. Custom slot staging: show it empty ("bring your own") or pre-loaded with a syndicate research doc?
  6. Post-pricing windows: confirm 1d / 2d / 30d / 90d (vs 7d for the second window).
